Beavers (5-7 years old)

Beaver Schedule for Fall 2020

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, beaver meetings can only be held outdoors at this time. We also cannot have more than 16 youth at a single gathering, so we have to alternate with the cub pack and scout troop.  Because Wed evenings will soon be completely dark after 7:00, we are moving our meeting times to Saturdays.  As a result, the beaver meetings will be held roughly every 3rd Saturday.

To see our tentative schedule, please go to:

and look for anything that says "colony" or "all sections".

First Beaver Meeting of the Fall

Our first meeting will be on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020.

We will be meeting from 1:30pm - 3:30pm.

We are meeting outside at Wesburn Park. You will see us near the playground.

Park address: 4781 Parkwood Ave, Burnaby, BC (located 10min walk from the Willingdon Church)

We are excited to start another Scouting year as a colony. While some things have changed because of COVID19, some things will stay the same. We are still going to have a lot of fun. We have a lot of dedicated Scouters. We will also be going on a lot of fun adventures.

NoticesWe will be sending out notices and reminders through email. Please make sure we have your “daily email address”.

Chips: We will not be collecting "chips" 50 cents this year because of COVID19.

Uniforms; Beavers do not have to wear their uniforms to the meeting because they will all be conducted outside because of COVID19. We ask that your Beaver bring his necker to every meeting. The necker will be provided by the group.

COVID19 - Procedures

If you are sick, please stay home. This will keep everyone safe.

General good hygiene is the best way to prevent the spread of COVID19. Wash your hands and use the hand sanitizer provided. Colony Scouter will stay 2 meters from your Beaver unless your Beaver needs help. Masks are optional for meetings. Scouters will wear a mask to help protect you child.

Beavers need to check in with the contact scouter. We will not be shaking hands. Close contact with your Beaver will be avoided.
